eagan ran into her room and locked her door, hearing the sounds of her mothers screaming and her fathers footsteps nearing her door. she had just finished dinner and served everyone's plates, and had accidentally knocked her fathers cup off the table, and now he was freaking out. of course he was high, either that or he was drink as hell and she was tired of it. she wasnt going to allow him to put a hand on her, not tonight...not right now. she locked the door behind her, the yelling nearing and nearing, breathing in and out deeply she looked around...what could she do, he turned the handle of the door and she grabbed her backpack, making her way to her window. "let me in right now, you little bitch!" he yelled at her. she felt horrible, maybe just dealing with the pain wouldn't be so bad, she was sick of running from it. he was banging on her door and kicking at it, pretty soon he'd bust her door open. grabbing her i-pod and throwing it in her bag, and her wallet, she threw that in the bag as well and zipped it back closed. she opened her window, and stepped out carefully..closing it quietly so her mother wouldn't come out from the front door and catch her trying to leave..

- - teagan started to run away from her house, heading for the nearest park. she didnt stop for one second, or look back. she wasn't going to allow herself to be put through pain tonight because of an accident. yes, it was just an accident! she didn't mean to knock the drink on him. why did she have to go through this? she wasn't mean to anyone, she wasn't ice, she respect everyone..even people that didn't deserve her respect like her parents. they were failures and they failed her. she hated the lifestyle she lived, being poor and everything was pretty hard. she use to work at the local starbucks then now she worked on the college campus, the college she wanted to go to. one of her older friends got her a job it paid a little more than the starbucks one. any extra money she could make, was well worth it. she was trying to save up for college, and buy herself some new clothes and things like that. her parents didn't know about her job, she would usually just make up an excuse. because she knew that if they knew she worked they'd take her money and spend on booze or something stupid like that.
- - teagan made her way to the park and stopped, leaning over and catching her breath. she had to get out of her house, even if it had to be here, alone...for a few hours. she didn't mind being alone, no one could hurt her when she was alone. not her parents anyways. she made her way to a bench and took a seat, taking out her i pod and turning it on, not too high, when she played her music to high she'd have to get new earpieces for it, and she didn't have money to continue to waste like that. she closed her eyes, imagining herself somewhere else as the music played in her ears. somewhere else..anywhere but here. she couldn't stop thinking about what happened not to long ago, and what happened nights before that. being thrown around, slammed against walls, choked, hit, slapped. what point was her father trying to prove?
- - if anything teag just hated her father more than anything right about now. she was respectful, she didn't deserve the beating. she hated her father with a passion, and it was pretty hard for teag to hate anyone. she let the tears slide down her face, not focused on wiping them away, she sat as she sobbed, listening to the encouraging music through her i-pod but she wasn't to encouraged. she knew she would have to go home soon..she would have to deal with him. putting her i pod away after turning it off she crossed her arms across her chest, hearing a noise she quickly whipped her tears away. somebody else was here? but why? maybe they wanted to get away like she did. she didn't bother to get up and see who else was at the park..why should she? its not like they'd want to bother to talk to her. although, truth be told that's what she needed the most some one to talk to. even if it was a stranger...anyone to talk to. she sighed, looking up at the stars. no matter how many times she tried to imagine herself being elsewhere she was still here, this was her reality.
